- 2 ripe avocados
- 1 cup fresh basil (optional)
- 1 cup fresh spinach
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1/2 cup pine nuts or walnuts (optional)
- 1/4 cup parmesan or pecorino cheese (optional)
- 1/3–1/2 cup olive oil
- Juice of half a lemon
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
In a food processor blend together avocado, basil, spinach, garlic, nuts, Parmesan, and lemon. Drizzle in olive oil as you begin to process the mixture. Process until smooth Season with salt and pepper to taste.
