Units
Scale
- 1 cup chilled light-to-medium-bodied red wine and bright fruit flavor (Tempranillo, Garnacha, or a light Pinot Noir)
- 1 cup lemon soda (such as Sanpellegrino Limonata, Sprite, or 7UP), chilled
- Ice
- Orange and lemon slices, for garnish
Instructions
- Fill two glasses generously with ice.
- Divide the red wine evenly between the glasses.
- Top with the lemon soda and gently stir to combine.
- Garnish with an orange slice (and a lemon slice if you’d like).
- Serve immediately.
Notes
Choose a light-to-medium-bodied red with low tannins and bright fruit flavor—the wine should feel refreshing rather than heavy. Chill both the wine and soda beforehand so the drink stays cold without relying on too much ice. It’s equally at home on a porch, at a picnic, or alongside a leisurely dinner with friends.
